Marine Certified means your db loudspeakers will perform reliably on the water as well as they do on land. So Polk attacked every db speaker with a series of punishing real world and accelerated weathering lab tests to see if they could take what some pretty nasty marine and automotive environments could dish out. Polk exposed dbs to hundreds of hours of salt fog, intense ultraviolet light and extreme temperatures from -40 degrees to 185 degrees F (-40 degrees to 85 degrees C). They performed as well after the tests as before (they didn't look so good). No wonder Correct Craft builds Polk Audio speakers into their award-winning Nautiques ski and wakeboarding boats, and Bullet uses Polk db speakers in their marine "tower" speaker enclosures.

Perfect fit and perfect sound... : Polk Audio DB651 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers
I purchased a set of four DB651's to replace the factory speakers in my 2004 Nissan Sentra. My intention was to replace the entire factory sound system piece by piece, but once I installed these speakers I realized I didn't need to change out my head unit or add an amp. These speakers sound perfect with the factory HU. I can turn the HU up to maximum volume and the Polk can handle it with no distortion. When I first installed them, I had a raspy popping sound, but I realized the factory subwoofer was still connected. Since disconnecting the Sub the sound has been perfect! These speakers pick up the bass perfectly, so I decided not to add a sub at all. The sound isn't competition quality, but more than what I'll ever need. Perfect full-range speakers for the average listener. Purchasing these speakers saved me a lot of money on replacing the rest of my system. Thanks Polk!! You have a new fan!

I ordered this setup and was very excited. I recieved my equipment in a timely manner even after a problem with the correct shipping addy. Installation was very easy. After 3 days of enjoying the system the amp decided to stop functioning.After troubleshooting the problem, the amp was fried. I took the 12s out of the box and discovered the very poor quality. I contacted the vendor for a refund and yes it had warranty,but I was to pay shipping for return. The weight of this system is not exactly light so it was going to cost me about 80 bucks to return,over half of what I paid for it.I have decided to chalk it up as a lesson learned, you get what you pay for.The XXX system is pretty and flashy but thats all it is. If anyone reads this review, take it seriously,pls.Spend a little more money and get quality equipment.

I selected this amp primarily for the high signal to noise ratio. It's also a bonus that it was so economical. This is the best-sounding amp I've owned--cleaner than alpine, pyramid, and jensen. The remote level control is convenient. I highly recommend this amplifier.
